The Coffee Shop
It was important to us that the food served in the café was
of a high standard. When we decided to have a café as well
as a shop, we knew that we wanted to serve simple, tasty food at
a good price. This is the balance we feel has been achieved.
Our reputation for good food has spread rapidly, so much so, it
was in October 2003 we realised that we needed a bigger kitchen and
an outside eating area. Our new kitchen came into operation at the
end of November 2004 and the outside area completed in April 2005.
With all the new developments, the ambience of the licensed café is
warm and inviting. Many of the ingredients we use in our food we
also sell in the shop. These are highlighted on the blackboard so
if you enjoy, take some home with you.
- Breakfast – porridge, eggs and bacon, toast, fresh juice,
brunch special.
- Morning coffee - cappuccino, latte, scones and cakes
- Lunch - Homemade soup served with our own freshly baked bread.
- Sandwiches and baked potatoes with a variety of fillings of
your choice
- Daily specials from the board – e.g. Scottish seafood
selection, stilton and broccoli tart,
- Puddings - Fruit crumbles and pies, sponge puds, served with
custard, cream or ice cream.
- Afternoon tea – Tea, scones, cakes.

Take Away Catering Service
Let us do the work, we make the
food, you collect from the shop and ‘take it away’ ready
for you to serve for your special occasion. A leaflet is available
in the shop.
Picnic Service
Available for the summer months. When you
fancy a day out with a picnic, but the thought of putting one together
is not appealing, then give us a ring before 10am and we will make
it for you. Your choice of sandwiches from our café menu,
crisps, cakes, fresh juice, a bottle of chilled white wine or bubbly!
Bring in your picnic basket, we fill it and off you go to enjoy your
day!
